my flight from Lukla--see the moutains?

There's only a few hours of good, clear weather in the morning each day, so there's a sense of urgency at the Lukla airport, where flights land every ten minutes, and then within a few more minutes, passengers have been escorted off the plane, new passengers are piled in with their baggage, and then--before you know it--you are in the air. When the air is clear, this system is a very well-oiled machine.

Lukla airstrip, woohoo! Very short runway.
